How may I scroll through my message with out having to click on each one

Hello JeanHuddleston,

You should be able to scroll through conversations and messages in the Messages App. If the below setting are set how you like/were scrolling and scroll is still not working I would recommend starting your MacBook Pro in Safe-mode https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201262 to determine the level of the issue. It likely would also be helpful for you to update you Mac OS as this could have been a bug that was fixed in future updates.

Some settings that may help:

1. Show Scroll Bars
   1. Settings App
   2. General
   3. Here you can have the scroll bar show always
2. Check that you are using the correct scroll gesture if using the trackpad
   1. Settings App
   2. Trackpad
   3. Scroll & Zoom Tab
   4. The first setting is about scroll direction but under you can see and even change the trackpad gesture for scrolling.
