how do i delete an app that doesnt display on home screen. it appears on list of apps

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. It appears that you're unable to remove an app, so we'd like to help. Is this a built-in app, or one you downloaded to your iPhone? If it's a built-in app, make sure it's on the list of apps that can be removed from your device: Delete built-in Apple apps from the Home screen on your iOS 14 or iPadOS device or Apple Watch
When you go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage, do you see the app there? If so, you may be able to delete it from there.
If you don't see the app or the option to delete it, reply to this message and let us know which app it is, and where you're able to see that it's downloaded to your iPhone.
