Spinning color wheel
Mac Air is very laggy. Software update always times out before completion. Frequently get spinning color wheel when switching between applications. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If you find the process is timing out during the download, trying from a faster internet connection would be the first step. Alternatively, you can create a USB bootable installer to use by following our guide at How to create a bootable installer for macOS using another Mac to then update your computer using that.
