Scrolling on kindle app not working correctly

When I try to us my fingers to move from on screen to the next on the latest kindle app the response is very slow. Sometimes it does not even work and I have to close the app and start again. Running the latest version of IOS for iPad and latest version of kindle app.

Kindle not responsive to touch on ipad mini When I finish a book, I normally tap the upper left hand corner of the screen to get back to the my Kindle home screen/library. Lately, it has become unresponsive, and it appears to be random. I've tried re-starting, uninstalling and re-installing Kindle, and making sure updates are current. This only seems to happen with my Kindle App. Does anyone have any insights? Thanks in advance.

The Kindle app is not functioning correctly after the latest iOS update I am using an iPad generation 6, with latest update of OS. The Kindle app is not functioning correctly: if I tap the top of the screen with a book on the screen, the menu is not accessed as it should be, so navigation, opening & closing, and other essential actions are impossible.
