using ram on older version of 27"

can i install ram memory from my 27'' iMac 2019 (2666MHz DDR4 SDRAM) into my older 27' iMac 2017 which takes 2400MHz DDR4 SDRAM

iMac 27″, macOS 11.1

macs are pretty picky with memory modules even modules supposed of the same spec may not work

crucial list modules they tested with macs if you list your mac model, if you try to mix or use random modules you may not get it to start and if you do you may experience periodic crashes.
