Homepod mini cannot be reset.

I couldn't add a homepod mini to my home and now I can't even reset. When I plug the homepod into the socket, the white light starts to spin, after 10 seconds the homepod turns off, turns on again, start to spin, and so on. When I try to reset the homepod by pulling it out of the socket, waiting, turning on, waiting, and pressing the finger hold, the red light starts to spin, then stops and the homepod turns off. SIRI never told me that the homepod is going to be reset.

When I connect HP to a MAC computer, I don't see HP in the Finder.

What should I do I would reset HP and connect it to the household. I have two HPs, I connected the first one without any problems, but I couldn't connect the second ones.

Thanks for any advice.

By manually, I meant during the set up, t’s on the device you’re using to set up, during the part where a circle appears on your device to hold over the HomePod swirling light, under the circle it says enter passcode manually . See image below:

Had you previously set it up? The white swirling light comes on during the first time plugging in, then will chime when ready to begin set up. It also does this when it’s restarting, then will stop swirling and nothing is there. However, if you press the top you should see Siri in various colours . Ask Siri a question to see if it’s on, or say “hey Siri xxx”

There’s also a white swirling light during a software update, so I ask if you’d already set it up and it was set to auto update and it’s possibly updating?

Is this HomePod in the Home App? If it is, you already set it up. If it’s in the home app you can reset it through that:

Open the Home App - go to the Room it’s in

Long press on the HomePod icon to bring up settings, scroll down to the bottom - select Remove. Then set it up again.

If it’s not in the home app you can’t reset it this way.

If it got stuck during set up , like nothing happened when you held the phone over it, there’s an option to transfer iCloud settings over manually, it then speaks a 4 digit code to key in on your phone. If it was stuck configuring - this can take awhile, maybe 45 mins. If it said no response after set up, this is normal and will still work and actually might be responding.

Please clarify if it’s in the Home App
