M1 Macbook Air Battery Care

I'm getting my MacBook air m1 soon, and my previous windows laptop i left plugged in all the time and my battery cant sustain for more than 10 min. I plan on using this for the next 5 years, how can i take care of my battery? I heard that when leaving my MacBook plugged in all the time, it runs off of AC power and doesn't harm the battery, as long as we complete a full charge cycle once a month. So would it be okay if i charged it overnight, take it to school, come home and leave it plugged in until the next day, and repeat? I'm asking because I don't want to hurt my battery overcharging, and I want to use it plugged in at home, and run it off battery in school. Would this be the best way to preserve my battery?

Unless I am using my MacBook Air away from a power source,

it is always plugged into the charger as what you are concerned

about is a non-issue.

FWIW, I have done this with my 2011 13" MaxBook Pro from

new and it still functions fine on battery but just due to age it

gets only 2-3 hours on battery, after all, it is 10 years old and

can be expected.

Besides, current battery technology is such that it is the number of

charging cycles that determine lifetime and not how long it is

kept at full charge.
