Wi-Fi issues on my iPad (8th generation) running iOS 14.2

The Wi-Fi connection on my iPad keeps dropping while in active use. There does not seem to be any pattern or particular situation when this happens, it seems to be random. It does not happen on any of my other Apple devices or on any of my previous iPads

Restart the router the next time the signal disconnects.

Thank you for your prompt answer, however it poses a challenge. When my iPad drops out, all other devices on the network continue to run without interruption.. This indicates that the problem is unique to my iPad. If I have to restart the router, it means disconnecting everybody else every time until the router restarts. This is not a desirable situation. I will try your recommendation the next time, but if it reoccurs I will have to refer the issue again for a different solution.

I’m having the same issue on my iPad pro running 14.4.2; not sure what generation.

My wifi network has both 2.4g and 5g signals. What I have noticed is that once the iPad drops the 2.4g wifi, If I connect to the 5g network everything works fine for a while but, according to the settings, the iPad has reverted to the 2.4g network and behaves as though it is no longer connected; the wifi indicator in the upper right corner is not there either. All my other Apple devices are operating just fine.

Both my iPad and my Husband’s iPads have been dropping off WiFi most of the day. Nothing else is effected. Did complete shut down of iPads and left off for several minutes. They rebooted and connected, however then started dropping off WiFi again. Issue started yesterday...and yes we rebooted the router last night.. That did not resolve the issue.

Anyone else having this issue?

Seems every one is experiencing the same issues and the standard reboot router solution does not work. Is there an issue with the IOS update? I have 2 iPads on older iPad Pro and 7th gen iPad. No such problems on the older iPad Pro and they are running the same software version 14.4.2.

This random disconnecting is discerning and affects my my experience. Please provide a working solution.
