I have an app that automatically attempts to log me in and then freezes. Removing the app and then reloading it to the home screen doesn’t work. I need to completely remove the app, make it forget my login details (which I have already deleted from passwords), and then reload it so I can see if it will work. Any suggestions?

Make sure Allow is enabled in
Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > iTunes and App Store Purchases > Deleting Apps > here
Note: To make changes Content & Privacy Restrictions must be enabled.
To remove an app in iOS 14, you now have to go to the App Library and delete it from there.
keep swiping to the right until you reach the library, find the app, and delete it from there.
but you could also be blocked from it due to content restrictions.

Thanks for clarifying that you don't have that option. It sounds like you might have restrictions enabled.
To check go to: Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > iTunes & App Store Purchases > Deleting Apps
Make sure that is set to allow.

I’ve tried deleting the app like that but I only get the option to move it to the Home Screen not to delete it, hence my frustration!
If you can explain why then you may solve my problem for me!
Of course you have to tell your phone that you are allowed to delete apps 🤦♀️
