Why is gamecontrollerd running on my system (Big Sur 11.2.3)? I haven't noticed it until quite recently. I don't think I have any game capabilities or permissions set up. Are there particular settings I should check to turn it off?

No it doesn't appear in Safe Mode.
I'm gradually working through the apps which load at login to narrow down the problem.
