Does iPhone 12 pro max with “Physical Dual SIM” support eSIM as well?

I need that level of flexibility: to use either two physical SIMs or one physical + eSIM. So, does version of iPhone 12 pro max with “Physical Dual SIM” (that one for China, Hong Kong etc.) support eSIM as well?

p.s. *** S21 Ultra does, btw...

The iPhones sold in Hong Kong, Macau and mainland China with dual physical SIM slots do not have an eSIM chipset.

Other iPhones have one SIM slot and one eSIM, and the eSIM does allow you to save multiple profiles. Only one can be active at any given time, but you can switch between them.

You can store more than one eSIM in your iPhone, but you can use only one at a time. To switch eSIMs, tap Settings, tap either Cellular or Mobile Data, and then tap the plan you want to use. Then tap Turn On This Line.”
