Connection External AOC Monitor USB 3.0

I need to be able to present to clients on the road and at a distance. I thought mirroring my iPad would solve the problem, however I can't get the monitor to mirror my iPad. How do I get the monitor and iPad to communicate? My iPad Pro does not mirror to the my external monitor (AOC 3.0) The external monitor works fine on my windows desktops and laptop but, when connected to my iPad it only powers up. Is there additional setup required?
