How do I change the screensaver on a 4th-gen AppleTV?

Try changing the screen saver type from Aerials to something else. Load the new screen saver once. Then change it back to Aerials. That may reset whatever was causing it to get stuck on one.

As described in the support document, you can set the download frequency for new clips. That will be one new clip for the selected interval. So give it some days, if set to Daily.

There are approximately 100 clips available, and what you get will be randomized, up to what your storage allows for a subset of clips, so enough variety for all.

They are fairly large, 250–950 MB or so each, But tvOS treats it a expendable cache files, to be deletable whenever space is needed for the Apple TV’s primary task.

With Download Frequency Never, no new clips will be added to the local copies.
