Can I get my apps from my old phone downloaded to a new non apple phone

Apps that run on an iPhone will not run on an Android phone and vice-versa. Many app developers make similar apps for both systems but usually you would need to buy the app again for the other system. Some that are free to download and that offer subscriptions through their websites (e.g., Microsoft Office, New York Times) you would be able to use on the other system without an additional charge.
