MacBook Air 2020 restarting

Hi,

My MacBook Air 2020 keeps restarting - not all the time and, it appears, while and after I attach HDMI cable to TV. But from Etrecheck it appears I have got kernel extensions (whatever they are!) - are they causing it? Anyway I'm attaching the etrecheck report.

Incidentally a couple of times I've got "the SSD is performing poorly" in the minor problem section. Surely it shouldn't - it's practically new!

Also I've now deleted Luminar and amazing (crashing apps) never really used them anyway.

Hi brendanxx,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you're having an issue with your MacBook Air restarting when connecting or disconnecting and HDMI cable. We're happy to assist.

We recommend starting with the steps here: If your Mac restarts and a message appears

If the issue continues, test in a new user account as well: Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac. Should the issue not occur in a new user account, check your main account login items to help test: Remove login items to resolve startup problems on your Mac

We also recommend testing with a different HDMI cable, as you stated this only occurs when attaching or removing the cable.

Best!
