Why USB-C to lightning power cord?

I am happy to see the new iPhone 12 has a USB-C port for charging, but why did you include a USB-C to lightning charging cord? It can't be used for anything... why not a USB-C to USB-C or even USB-C to USB to work with old adapters?

The iPhone 12 actually has a lightning port to charge not USB-C. That's why you get a USB-C to lightning cable. The Lightning side goes into the port on the iPhone.
