cannot read serial number on ipod
I just want to contact apple about my ipod not doing anything but can't becausre you need the serial number which is in TINY writing on the back of a 10 year old scratched silver case. I HAAAAATTTTEEEE apple!
You're not entitled to free technical support on a 10 year old device. If the device works you should be able to find the serial number in Settings > About.
See Corrupt iPod Classic - Apple Community. What are your HDD stats? If it doesn't start up at all use a known good cable and let it charge overnight from a computer USB port rather than a wall charger, toggle the hold switch on and off a few times, then see if you can get it to wake up.
