Lost mail using Maildrop

I have the same problem. I send email with a large file attached 40Mb. App said it may be too large and I should use Maildrop. I clicked yes and mail was never received. I am using the Apple Mail client with a Google Mail hosted account. The mail is not in my local sent folder on my Mac, nor on gmail server. I checked iCloud and it's not there either!

Help appreciated.!

thanks

Hello Ballyheane,

It sounds like you are not seeing your email when you try to use Mail Drop with your Google account.

Here are some isolation steps and resources that can help:

  • Try sending the file from your iCloud account and see if works as expected.

  • Review Mail Drop limits to see if any of the information here pertains to your situation.

  • Test using a different file.

  • When sending the mail, check the activity status of the message at the bottom of the Mailboxes pane to get a better idea of what it's doing.

Hope this information helps.

Have a good day.
