Are Competitions Fair?

My wife and I started competing a few days ago and something occurred to me: Her "Move" loops closes much more quickly than mine does. Her calorie goal is set to 390 while mine is set to 670, based on the info we set up our watches with. We do the same walks, and often the same runs, but she gets more "move" credit for her efforts than I do. At this moment she has burned 497 calories (127%), while I've burned 460 (68%). She's getting more points. She insists that it's a fair system, but I'm wondering... Is it actually a fair competition? Is there a way to make it fair?

This is how competitions work:

You get a point for every percent that you add to your rings each day, and you can earn up to 600 points a day. That’s a max of 4,200 points for the week.

So the way to make a completion "more fair" would be to set all your activity goals to the same values.
