MacBook Air connected to charger or dock decrease long term battery life?

I have a MacBook Air 2020 (Apple Silicon).

Does Apple recommend for this computer to be unplugged from power cord or dock when battery is fully charged to maximize the batterie's lifespan? Or should we unplug the laptop from power source once it reaches full charge and plug to power once the battery is very low?

Is it harmful for MacBook to stay plugged into a power source for most of the time? Will this diminish the lifespan of the battery or add cycle counts?

Regards.

Apple doesn't propose any requirement regarding that.

It is up to the user. Keep it plugged in whenever possible.
