Static IP Address

I am trying to use one of my iPhones as a "hotspot" and connecting via a VPN to the company network. I was told that I need to get a Static IP Address for iPhone for it to work/connect and stay connected. I have a iPhone 6s and the carrier said I need to get that solved with the Apple. Appreciate any help!

You can do this two different ways:

  1. From your router by assigning this iPhone either a reserved DHCP address or a static one.
  2. On the iPhone itself by tapping on Settings > Wi-Fi > selecting the info circle on your Wi-Fi network > Configure IP > Manual
