There is no physical damage on the phone but the green line started to appear all of a sudden. It is definitely a manufacturing defect but the phone is out of warranty now. Will Apple replace it or repair it free of cost?

I have already contacted both of them and got a reply which was not helpful at all. The authorized service center has confirmed that there is no physical damage or any sort of damage and it is purely manufacturing defect from the apple. Still they cannot do anything and the only option is to pay for the repair. If the touch is non responsive then they would repair it for free. Since the touch is working fine and there is just green line they cannot do anything. A strange reply I have ever got in my life.
