For devices that have Touch ID

it’s the same process but all you have to do is go to Settings > Passwords & Accounts > Subscribed Calendars > Examine and find the culprit and tap on it > Delete account

Are you seeing something as shown in the pic below? This is neither a hack nor a virus. It is spam and you can get rid of it. Read below...

Then probably you have accepted an offer or subscribed for a spam Calendar accidentally. Watch the GIF below to know how to unsubscribe from these alerts. Look for an unknown Calendar on the device under subscribed calendars.

WHATEVER YOU DO DON'T CLICK ANY LINKS INSIDE THE CALENDAR BECAUSE THEY ARE MALICIOUS WEBSITES.

How to get rid of this problem. Follow these instructions

1. Go to Settings and select Calendar.

2. Tap Accounts and try to spot the

malicious entry. Examining account details such as the email address should give you some important clues about which one is the culprit.

3. If you find the rogue item, go ahead and delete it by tapping on the account and selecting Delete Account

How to prevent them from happening

1. Sign into your iCloud account on your computer and select Calendar.

2. Click the gear symbol in the bottom left- hand corner of the app screen and select Preferences.

3. Hit the Advanced tab.

4. Deselect 'In-app notifications' option of

Calendar even invitations.

5. In the subsection called Invitations, click

the radio button next to the “Email to [your email address]” option to make this setting your default one instead of “In-app notifications”.
