It sounds like you are unable to locate an app.

Here are some resources that can help:

See if the app was removed by redownloading it: Redownload apps and games from Apple

or this YouTube video from Apple Support How to delete and reinstall apps on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

If it shows "Open" this means the app is already downloaded onto your iPhone and you can try to locate it.

If you are running iOS 14 look for it in your Apple Library by reviewing:

• "Use the App Library to find your apps" in Organize the Home Screen and App Library on your iPhone or "Add apps to the Home Screen" in this YouTube video from Apple Support How to hide Home Screen pages and move apps on your iPhone.
  • If you do see it here, log press on the app to add it back to your Home Screen.

• If you do not have the option to add it back to your Home Screen or your are on an iOS earlier than iOS 14, review How to move apps and create folders on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch or this YouTube video from Apple Support How to move apps and create folders on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
  • See if you can find the app in a folder on your Home Screen. Note, a folder can have multiple pages. Look for the three dots at the bottom of the folder to know if it has multiple pages.
