Using my free Apple TV

I have just signed up for a free year of Apple TV. It is working on my new phone but not my iPad. How do I get it to work on other devices?

The Apple TV+ subscription is tied to your Apple ID account. The subscription will then be available on any of your devices with the (new) Apple TV app (iOS 12.3 or later), when signed in with the same Apple ID account.
