Delete Function is missing

Greetings

It seems that the delete function located within each app appears to be missing. In other words when I tap on any of my downloaded apps the choice to Delete is not available. Has anyone else encountered this issue?

iPad Pro, iPadOS 14

Have you tried holding down on the app until it wiggles and then tapping the upper left hand corner?
