Bypass charging on iPhone

Hi,

Does the iPhone 12 line have bypass changing ? In other words, does the iPhone charge directly through the lightening port instead of charging through the battery when plugged in at 100% ?

The device has circuitry that prevents overcharging.

No harm to the battery.

iPhone 12 models can be charged on a Qi charger or a cable.

If it is 100% then there is no current used.

I guess there is no bypass charging then. If the battery is full, it will discharge then get up to 100% again very quickly so to stay full, which is harmful for the battery. Am I right ?
