Occasionally I can delete a folder in email, but most of the time it tells me I can’t delete it on the server.
Then I try to delete all contents and try to rename it since I can’t get rid of it and it tells me that I can’t rename it on the server. I have lots of folders I no longer need and would love some advice on removing them.

It’s my gmail account. I’m not using the gmail app, I’m using the email app that came with my iPad. I did all the steps in your link. It didn’t work. However today when I went to my email program the folder, the folder was gone. I tried to delete another folder thinking the issue had resolved itself, same thing cannot delete on server!/
