Advice, Macbook Pro 13" M1 way better than 16? and replace?

So my MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019) - 2.3 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9 with 16 GB 2667 MHz DDR4 + 1TBHD has developed a fault and I am getting a refund. Shame the M1 16" isn't going to be out for a while and I have got used to 16" size as I am a graphic designer.... BUT..... I was just thinking, this 16" does seem to get slow and hot and the fans go off when I have chrome+Illustrator, Mail and a few other minor apps running so just thinking, should I just get the M1 13" thinking it might blow this 16" out of the water due to the new chip?

I don't really use Final Cut or Adobe Premier that often really. Maybe run a few video compression software like Handbrake to optimise down and perhaps some photoshop on and off to be honest but I love having around 20 tabs in chrome open, and flicking in and out of chrome, illustrator Grammarly Filmora, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Mail, Google Meet, Slack in the main

If anyone

Try it and see how you like it.

You have 14 days for a full refund or exchange

It seems subjective so it is difficult to say anything conclusive.

Personally I would not step down to a 13" screen . We are all waiting to to see what the next generation Mx MBP has to offer as the roll-out continues over the next couple years.
