Error sending competition invite on Fitness app

A week ago my husband and I were able to do a fitness competition just fine but now I get an invitation error on my end. My husband sent an invitation to me but I never got it to respond. Also, all family members show 0% progress on their rings. I’ve tried restarting my Apple Watch as well as my iPhone. All devices are up to date. I’ve even unpaired them paired my Apple Watch again as some have suggested but still the same issue.

We'd be happy to help out with getting your Activity Sharing issues sorted out.




Trying to restart, update, and unpair/re-pair your devices was a good step to try. In addition, we'd advise having your participating family members try the same steps. That will include restarting their iPhone and Apple Watch, and ensuring their Apple Watch and iPhone are updated fully.

Also, check that both Settings > Cellular > Fitness and Health enabled. Also ensure that you and the other participant can successfully iMessage each other at the moment, as that could play a part.



If none of the above helps, the best course of action will be to reach out to Apple Support directly for further investigation. You can do so via this link: Get Support
