Peloton App - app loses connection to iPhone

But the watch is connected. It starts the app on the watch. I can see in settings phone and watch are connected.

Often the phone / watch / app work fine for 1st exercise session of day. After completing a class I start another one and the watch / app loses connection with iphone. I stop class and restart it works. Sometimes I have to restart watch. Sometimes I have to restart phone. Some times I have to restart both. After a restart it all works. After the next class where it has recorded class without issue it loses connection again. Iphone 12 is on latest version of IOS. Watch is on latest version of Watch OS. Peloton app is latest version from Apple store.

I am fed up and seriously thinking of replacing with Android.
