Non apple brand lightning-hdmi adapter ?

After plugging my iPhone into a non apple brand hdmi adapter my phone asks if I trust this computer. Should I select yes or is this a possible malware or spyware device?

Hi Pacitoloco,

We'd be happy to help provide some details that can assist with the 'Trust This Computer' alert you're receiving.

This page here will have all the needed info on that alert: About the 'Trust This Computer' alert on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

As it'll note, "When you connect your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to a computer or other device for the first time, an alert asks whether you trust the computer."

This 'trust' pop-up will just be between your connected iOS device and the computer itself. From the above link: "Trusted computers can sync with your device, create backups, and access your device's photos, videos, contacts, and other content. These computers remain trusted unless you change which computers you trust or erase your device."

If you want the computer the iPhone is connected with to have the above functionality regarding syncing/allowing access to the photos/videos/contacts/etc., then you may proceed to select 'Trust'.

We hope this clears things up!

Take care.
