Any ideas on how to fix this error? My mac keeps boot looping with no boot chime (Mid 2009 iMac)

This may be a hardware issue, but let's try some steps first:

1. Reset the NVRAM: Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac - Apple Support
2. Reset the SMC: How to reset the SMC of your Mac - Apple Support
3. Run Apple Diagnostics / Hardware Test: How to use Apple Hardware Test on your Mac - Apple Support. Let us know what the test says.
4. If you can, run First Aid: How to repair a Mac disk with Disk Utility - Apple Support
5. If you can, Reinstall macOS: How to reinstall macOS - Apple Support

Do you have a backup of your data?

Hate to tell you but your computer is telling you its the end of the road and it's time to replace it. It is suffering from a hardware problem which could be anything from a failed drive, failed main logic board or failed GPU. Considering its age and lack of value, just replace it.

Then it is a hardware issue, and it unfortunately cannot be serviced since it is obsolete, as classified by Apple.
