Is there a security update for 4th gen iPad?

is There an update for my 4th gen iPad that patches the security vulnerability recently found? Or are older devices just going to be left vulnerable?

No worries.

Older iOS devices are not affected by the newest security issues only found in newer iOS/iPadOS versions.
