I just sold my 2012 13” retina MacBook Pro, and I followed all the steps to erase data before selling. Can someone still recover sensitive info like passwords, etc, even after I reinstalled the software and set the computer back to factory settings? Under find my iPhone, the device still appears with my name, but it shows “erase pending...” what does this mean?

I did. But the erase pending message under find my iPhone is making me wonder if the erasing process is still going on in the background. Plus, could someone try to use time machine to revert to the settings and info I had before? I know it sounds a bit like paranoia, but it’s more out of curiosity really.
The Time Machine Drive is with you - If Yes - the new owner can not.
