Can the ECG watch Take a random reading on its own

My Apple Watch and health app on my iPhone showed an ECG recording at 3:41 AM. I was sleeping so I didn’t press and hold the ECG button on the watch. So quite simply, my question is does the watch occasionally take random ECG recordings on its own?

Well I can assure you that you’re wrong. I was sleeping get it. The watch is on my left wrist and there’s no way I accidentally opened the ECG app while sleeping and then another part of my body rested against the crown that’s just ridiculous and odds of that happening are pretty much zero. I’m telling you the watch did a random ECG. I actually think this is the second time and I believe Apple is aware of this. It’s not a big deal but I’d like to know if that’s a new feature.

No it doesn't,your wrist might have rested up against the digital crown after accidently opening the ECG app.

Put the water lock on this prevents accidental screen touches.
