I have a series 6 Apple Watch LTE version that won’t play Pandora unless my phone is on. I thought I would be able to leave my phone off and in my car while I go for a run but Pandora won’t work. I’m new to Apple so hopefully I’m just doing something wrong.

So after messing around with it a little bit I found all you have to do is go to the main menu for Pandora on the watch itself then scroll to the bottom and click where it says playing on phone and you can switch it to the watch. Additionally it does work with the phone off.

Ok. So I did a quick test as soon as I am out of range from my phone and LTE takes over Pandora still will not come on
In order for the cellular to work on your watch your iPhone must be powered on.
You can leave the phone in your car but it must remain powered on.

BTW can you make a call or send a text when on LTE?
