I have a numbers document and want to save 1 sheet of it in my computer. How do I do that?

Two possibilities:

If you want to save an image of the current state of that sheet:

Command-p to open Print Setup.

Check that the Print This sheet is selected (near the bottom of the Print Setup sidebar).

Scale to fit a single page, if needed.

Click Print to continue to the Print dialogue.

In the print dialogue, click the PDF button at lower left, then select either Save as PDF or Open PDF in Preview.

If you took the second choice, go to Preview name and save the document from there.

If you want to save the actual contents of that sheet as a separate Numbers document, do either of these:

1.

Open a New blank Numbers document.

Select and delete the default Table from the singe Sheet.

Go to the source document and the sheet wish to save.

Select all objects on that sheet, the press command-C to copy those objects to the clipboard.

Return to the new (and now empty) document.

Click on the sheet, then press command V to Paste.

Reposition any objects as needed.

Name the new document, then Save it in your location of choice.

Sample:

Original was one sheet of a 24+ sheet Numbers Document.

Copy is a single sheet document created using the instructions above.

Note that the Table on the selected sheet had no formulas dependent on values in tables on other sheets of the original document.

Copying a sheet from one document to another can also be done like this:

  1. In the document with the sheet to be copied, right click on the sheet name (the sheet tab) and select "Copy Sheet"
  2. Create a new Numbers document (or open the document you want to paste into)
  3. Right click on any sheet tab and choose "Paste Sheet" and it will create a new sheet with the contents in it.
  4. Delete the default sheet if you want it gone. Right click on its tab and choose "delete".
