Put back feature missing on trash bin
I deleted a file from a folder in Finder and when I right-click on it, the "put back" option isn't anywhere in the menu

Is there any chance the containing folder was deleted?
I have no idea.
In any event, unless I'm missing something, it would seem to me that the user could be prompted for a location to restore the file.
Or they can just drag it into any location they want.

If it doesn't know where it belongs, that won't be available.
I couldn't tell you why it doesn't know where it was when you deleted it.
