Bitdefender installing VPN software without consent-How to Stop?

How do I stop software from installing an app I do not want. My Bitdefender virus protection has recently started to install their "Bitdefender VPN" software. I already have their "VPN unlimited" lifetime license. Bitdefender updates their software almost on a daily basis. The previous app settings to stop loading on start, get erased and the whole process starts over again. Bitdefender isn't any help.

Thanks, I'm already using BlockBlock, but I had it on passive mode. Once I turned off passive mode, I got a warning about trying to install Bitdefender VPN again and I was able to stop it. Solved my problem, where Bitdefender could not!

  • To add my two cents, aside from being completely unnecessary, the installation of any antivirus app WILL seriously slow down your computer and can also cause other unwanted problems. Bitdefender should be immediately and fully removed. See if they provide an uninstaller to do the complete removal. If not, you can use the free app AppCleaner to do any needed removals. It is safe when properly used. Just open the app and then drag any app to be removed into its window. It will then search and present all of the associated bits and pieces of the app for approval and removal.
