How do I take the watch band off if it only attaches on one side of watch

My watch band is mesh and only attaches on one side of my Apple Watch. I am trying to mail it in for repairs and they want me to take band off to mail watch. How do I get it off?

There is no band that only connects to one side. Change your Apple Watch band - Apple Support
