How do i turn off live photo and keep it off on iphone 11.

First, go to:

Settings -> Camera -> Preserve Settings.

Find Live Photos and make sure the feature is turned on.

Now, open your Camera app. Find the little yellow icon in upper right corner, and press it:

Live Photo ON

Live Photo OFF

thanks. i kept googling and it kept talking about the Preserve settings. i didn't have it. then i did an an app update on apple support. went back and looked again and low and behold there it was plus an additional toggle. so thanks for the help.
