Minecraft Launcher won't open - solution

I might have a possible solution to open the launcher without having to Re-download Minecraft.

My Minecraft Launcher did not move or open at all and the next steps helped me fix it.

Open the app Activity Monitor (looks similar to terminal)
Type in the search bar Minecraft or Minecraft Launcher
The Monitor app will tell you if it's not responding, Double click Minecraft and press Stop then press stop again or force close.
Afterwards you can close the Activity Monitor and open the Minecraft Launcher
