Minecraft Launcher won't open - solution

I might have a possible solution to open the launcher without having to Re-download Minecraft.

My Minecraft Launcher did not move or open at all and the next steps helped me fix it.

• Open the app Activity Monitor (looks similar to terminal)
• Type in the search bar Minecraft or Minecraft Launcher
• The Monitor app will tell you if it's not responding, Double click Minecraft and press Stop then press stop again or force close.
• Afterwards you can close the Activity Monitor and open the Minecraft Launcher
