Turning off HDR on M1 Macbook Pro leads to green screen on external monitor

This is bizarre. My external monitor model is BenQ PD2700U. This can be produced by turning off HDR and put macbook into sleep. After waking up from it, the screen would become green like this. I tried to keep HDR on but somehow it would automatically be turned off. Does anyone have the same problem? Thanks.
