Find My error message: Number May not be using Find My

The full error message reads “(xxx-xxx-xxxx) may not be using Find My. This phone number does not appear to be associated with an iPhone” *replace x’s with phone number*. For some reason I never recall having these problems when Find My Friends was a separate appthis phone number does not appear to be associated with an iPhone

Set up Find My on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac


Then make sure you’re following the steps here to locate them:


Use the Find My app to locate a lost or stolen device
