i recently got a new phone and number. i disconnected everything on my last phone to sign into here on my new iphone 13. my text message, calls, and facetimes show as my new number but my “find my iphone” won’t register to my new number. it’s still showing as my last number. please help, thank you in advance.

Again, please understand that your phone number has nothing to do with Find My, that is based on your Apple ID. You say you removed the Apple ID from the old phone. Did you wipe the phone completely? Is the new phone named the same thing as the old phone? Also, it sounds like you are in a Family Sharing situation, is that correct? If so, have the family organizer check to see if your new phone is part of the family, or if it is still the old phone.
The only thing I can think of at this point is to turn off Find My on your new phone and see if anyone can see your phone, or phones for that matter. We can attack it from that direction. You did say that you turned off Find My on the old phone, correct?
Did you verify that everything is turned on in Find My on the new device? Is she listed as a Person in Find My and have you checked your location settings on you iPhone in Settings>Privacy>Location Services>Share My Location, and that My Location shows this new device? And, is the cousin listed under Friends?
Find my iPhone works based on your Apple ID, not a phone number. Where are you seeing something about your phone number for Find My?
Yes, well it is throwing me off as well. I have nothing else I can add to this discussion. At this point I would recommend you contact Apple Support for assistance. I cannot see why your device is not appearing in Find My after this Apple ID change. Use the Get Support link at the top of the page here to contact them. Good luck.
my cousin texted me asking if i still have my old phone number, i said no why? she sent me a SS of my current and accurate location but it doesn’t show her contact for me with my new number. it’s with my old phone number that i do not have anymore. i have the phone still but find my iphone is off and my icloud is unlinked.
basically that was my location earlier but it’s to my old phone number that is disconnected. she updated my contact to my new phone number.
yes, still same Apple ID but i removed all of that from my old phone.

yes, i wiped my whole phone on my old. and i’m not sure i’m understanding the whole naming thing, i know i did sign into my apple ID so i can transfer my contacts and whatever was saved into my icloud. i turned off find my iphone but it still showed as my old number but “location off”.
im the family organizer also. i also unshared with ALL of them and redid it but it still shows as my old phone number instead of my new contact name they have for me. i know you’re saying the number has nothing to do with it but they keep seeing my old number so it’s throwing me off):
yes, it shows this device. yes, under friends but my family members also sees me as my old phone number also.
So she is seeing your location for an old phone that you no longer use and is not on? But she is seeing that, but does not see your location with your new phone? Did she change your number in your contact card? She maybe getting that because of your Caller ID. I'm guessing you still have the same Apple ID.
