Hey there, JC.
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! Thanks for posting about how to stop your listening devices from streaming content from your iPhone. We'd be glad to see how we can help you out.
Before we get started, tell us a little more about what's happening. Are your listening devices only going into a streaming mode when using that one specific app, or does it happen with all apps? If it's specific to a single app, you may want to work with the developer of that app to see if there's a certain configuration that needs to be created to allow your listening devices without that mode enabling automatically. If needed, How to contact an app developer will walk you through how to do that.
Take care.
Welcome back.
If you're wanting to not stream audio from your iPhone to your listening devices, you can go to Settings > Accessibility > Hearing > Hearing Devices. Tap the name of your hearing devices and you should be able to turn off the ability to stream to each of them independently. If that doesn't get things working as you'd expect, learn How to contact Apple for accessibility support here.
Be well
In general, when I try to adjust my HAs to hear the wife or the TV, half the time
the home page shows streaming. I never set it to streaming. My original question remains: how do I turn it off?
