Does anyone know what this is? It comes up intermittently. The center has revolving colors. It only stays a a number of seconds. It took several tries before I was able to get a screen shot. Any help will be appreciated.

This is the Siri Voice Assistant - triggered by long-press of the physical Home Button. Press the Home button again to dismiss.

That is the Siri indicator. You are holding the button that invokes Siri a little too long.
