Why can’t Apple fix the Bluetooth problems?

After Upgrading to iOS 14 On my iPhone 11 Pro Max, I began to experience the same problem that apparently plagues hundreds of others: my iPhone is constantly (several times a minute when phone is idle) disconnecting and reconnecting the Bluetooth connection to whatever headphones I use, Bose 700s Apple AirPods Pro etc.


customer support has been no help, just having me repeatedly reset and restore my phone and telling me that it is a known issue and that they are working on it, but refusing to let me try a replacement phone. why is this such a hard problem to fix? It has made my phone unreliable, disconnecting phone calls, and causing endless frustration.

Not particularly helpful. It’s the software on my device, plain and simple, as Apple already acknowledged is a known issue plaguing hundreds of people. My iPhone worked perfectly before the upgrade, and my MacBook continues to work perfectly with the same Bluetooth devices in the same location. Just because the problem doesn’t occur on your device doesn’t mean the issue doesn’t exist.

there are other options between "me having an issue" and "it's a universal issue".

If there is a security flaw that affects so many users that hundreds have actively posted about it, would that also be a non-issue for you? Apple has acknowledged that it's a known issue to me in my customer service chat sessions, stated that they are working on it, and my questions were a) what makes this so hard to fix (a technical question) and b) why is Apple resisting letting me see if a replacement phone corrects this defect? (a customer service/branding quality question). You have addressed neither.
