WD MyCloud Home 4TB and MacBook Pro

Hello, we bought a WD MyCloud Home 4TB to create a company network. We are only two people working on Mac. I managed to set the WD up on my Mac, and I can see the WD in Finder, I can also upload files, but I can't set up the other Mac to access the same Folder/Files as I have access to. I can however access the Folder/Files via the browser, but we need to use desktop connection with both Macs. Anyone out there who knows how to do this? Cheers Paul

Hey pablobianco,

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities! We understand you've connected an external hard drive to your network in order for two Mac's to connect and access the drive, but only one Mac is accessing it successfully. Let's see how we can help.

It sounds like this could be an issue with how the permissions are set up for sharing. Check out these articles for some guidance and let us know if these help get that resolved:

Share a USB hard disk on your network in AirPort Utility on Mac

Use external storage devices with Mac

Set up file sharing on Mac

Best regards.
